Lateral Position Gel Protection Pad
Precautions should be taken to safeguard the ears, shoulders, upper limbs, hips, lower limbs, and heels during surgical procedures performed in the lateral decubitus position. To address this concern effectively, a specialized body positioning system is employed comprising of a head support ring, lateral support pad, arm cushioning pad, waist securing belt, flat padding surface, and heel protection pad.
Head Ring: Utilized in brain surgery and ENT surgery, the head ring provides support and protection to minimize pressure on the head.
Lateral support pad: Designed for lateral surgeries, this pad alleviates shoulder and upper extremity pressure while safeguarding nerve tissue.
Arm pad: Stabilizing the arm, this device ensures proper body alignment and prevents potential arm damage caused by inadequate blood supply over an extended period of time.
Belt: In side decubitus surgery, where tilting of the operating table is required, a gel bandage belt is provided to prevent patient slippage or position changes during the tilting process.
Flat Pad 1: Safeguarding the knee joint during lateral surgery, this pad prevents acne breakouts resulting from prolonged knee contact.
Flat Pad 2: A large flat pad placed on the operating table serves as excellent protection and promotes recovery for patients with thin skin or acne visiting the hospital.
Heel pad: Primarily used in lateral surgery, this heel pad minimizes acne formation due to prolonged contact between foot skin.
