While conventional operating tables with carbon fiber table boards can improve light transmittance to some extent, they are limited by the presence of frames on either side of the table that obstruct perspective views. This limitation becomes particularly challenging in clavicle surgery, hip DAA surgery, and lower limb surgeries where complete X-ray transmission is crucial.
To address this challenge and facilitate unobstructed X-ray transmission during orthopedic surgeries, it is essential to utilize an operating table that incorporates a complete table board made of carbon fiber. The specialized carbon fiber board has a length of either 1.2 meters or 1.4 meters when considering the U-shaped headrest, ensuring sufficient coverage for fluoroscopy requirements in all patient cases.
Depending on whether the surgery involves the upper limb or lower limb, surgeons have the flexibility to position the patient's head and legs in a manner that optimizes visualization during fluoroscopy at the surgical site. With the carbon fiber board, various positions such as supine, prone, or lateral can be accommodated while still allowing visibility of critical areas like clavicles and hip joints.
